About our District
Regional School District 13 proudly serves the children and families of Durham and Middlefield, CT (Conveniently located just 10 miles from Middletown in Middlesex County).

Our district is comprised of the following schools:
 
Brewster Elementary School (PreK-Grade 2)
 
John Lyman Elementary School (K-Grade 4)
 
Middlefield Memorial School (Grades 3-5)
 
Frank Ward Strong Middle School (Grades 6-8)
 
Coginchaug Regional High School (Grades 9-12)
 
Middlesex Transition Academy (Serving state-wide students 18-21 years old on the Wesleyan University Campus)
 
About Durham
The Town of Durham is a rural community of approximately 7,388 residents, located about halfway between Hartford and New Haven with easy access to Interstate highway routes 91, 84, 95 and State highway routes 9 and 691. Durham is primarily residential, with a few active farms and a small business park. 

About Middlefield
Middlefield is so named because it is halfway between Middletown and Durham, and Middletown and Meriden. It is approximately 13.3 square miles.

Local attractions include golf courses, farmers markets, state parks, fitness clubs, local markets, restaurants, gift shops and so much more.
