Science Master

  1. Go to Science Links and click on Science Master.
  2. On the left side find SPACE and click on it.
  3. On the right side of the new page there is a QUIZ called "Test Your Space Sense".  Click on that and take the QUIZ.
  4. After you take it, report your score on a sheet of paper. Then write out each question that you got wrong BUT with the right answer next to it.

  1. Click on Science Links
  2. Click on Amazing Space Web-Based Activities
  3. Click on Online Explorations
  4. Scroll to Comet Facts, Myths & Legends and click on it.
  5. A new window will open up. Wait a few seconds for everything to appear.
  6. Click on the word ENTER that's on the book.
  7. Then click on the red tab and Read On.
  8. Answer the following four questions:
  • Where does the word comet come from?  WHY?
  • What did Tycho Brahe say about comets?
  • What did Isaac Newton say about comets and our solar system?
  • What did most astronomers of the 1500's and early 1600's think about comets?

       1. Go to Science Links

       2. Go to Chemical Elements

       3. Click on one at a time: Gold (Au), Silver (Ag), Oxygen (O), Mercury (Hg), Iron (Fe), Uranium (U), Helium (He), Plutonium (Pu), Neon (Ne) and Magnesium (Mg).

       4. For each one scroll to FACTS.

       5. Copy down the FACTS for each element listed above. Be ready for a discussion.
