Educated Decisions Guiding Everyday
It is Yellow Ribbon Time. Yellow Ribbon is a Suicide Prevention Program that was founded in 1994 by the Parents of a teenage boy who took his own life when he was at a very low point in his life and did not know the words to say, or how to let someone know he was in trouble. This program brings awareness to kids about the risk factors and warning signs for suicide. It provides kids with a Life Line Card that they can use when they are troubled. Without saying a word, they can hand the Card to a friend or a trusted adult and help will be provided.
