What is field Day?

Field day is one of the greatest days on earth for all John Lyman Students.  All John Lyman students are dropped off by parent or by bus to Peckham Park in Middlefield.  Once they arrive they are taken by parent volunteers to a starting station.  Every 14 minutes a horn will blow and the students will move to the next station.  All morning long the students will participate in new, fun, exciting physical education activities.  At lunch time the JLPA provides hot dogs, watermelon and drinks to those students who have signed up.  Once the students have eaten lunch they go back to school for an all school assembly and the kindergarten students leave to go home after they eat.
