Writers develop into great
writers by writing!
Third graders become budding authors as they use their imaginations
to express their ideas through narrative writing. Instruction
designed to build a solid foundation for process writing
teaches the application of basic skills. Students use the
writing process to revise and publish their work. This includes
developing a rich vocabulary, a fluent style with strong
organization, sequencing, and well elaborated supporting
details. Editing skills (capitalization, punctuation, and
grammar) are applied to all written work.
