June Happenings

June is packed with many activities .  Students and their families will find themselves busy with field trips, the Ice Cream Social, band and chorus concerts, Recognition Day, Korn Celebration, Intramural Awards and field day.  The very popular BKPTA Ice Cream Social takes place at Korn School on June 3rd.  Mrs. Sinder and Mrs. Heckler will be scooping chocolate or vanilla while their staffs will be adding the toppings.  The band (June 10) and chorus (June 18) concerts take place in the CRHS auditorium at 6:30 pm.  This year the John Lyman Band will be joining us.  Recognition of our students takes place on June 12th.  Fourth graders receive a certificate of completion of 4th grade plus a dictionary from the BKPTA.  Third graders receive a certificate of participation in the Korn Community. The day the students find most exciting and fun is June 24th, Field Day.  Students participate in a wide variety of athletic events.  June 24, 25 and 26 are early dismissal days with the 26th being the last day of school.

During the Summer, please remember to record books that your child has read in their Summer Reading Journal.
