Dear Coginchaug Community,

The weather has taken a turn toward colder days, and the winter season is now upon us. Our basketball and indoor track teams are all off to a great start and the music department has events scheduled.  Just a reminder to check out their websites for dates and times.

Of course, the new year will bring us back to school with midterm exams and the end of the first semester not far away. Due to the weather cancellations earlier this year, midterm exams are scheduled to start on Thursday, Jan. 26, and conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 31.

The schedule for Coginchaug's Parent Forum in the new year is as follows:  January 17, February. 23, March 20, and April 24. All meetings start at 7:00 p.m. in the library and run about one to one and a half hours. This winter and spring we will focus on topics including our Program of Studies and course selection, the college search process, and understanding the teenage mind. These meetings are informative but informal and we hope to see you there.
