Current Opportunities

Job opportunities in Regional School District 13 are divided into two categories: certified and non-certified. Certified positions include teachers, administrators, and professional support staff, i.e. counselors, psychologists, library/media specialists, etc. Non-certified staff include maintenance, secretarial, food service, and paraprofessionals.

Substitute Positions:

• Substitute teacher — Four-year degree or State of Connecticut waiver required. (Application Procedures for Substitute Positions )
• Substitute teacher assistant — High school diploma required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred. (Application Procedures for Substitute Positions )

Homebound Tutor Positions:

The District is currently accepting applications for Homebound Tutors. Applicants need to hold current State of Connecticut certification in teaching.  Most tutoring takes place off site during regular school hours, approximately 10 hours per week.  Occasionally tutors are needed after school hours.  For more information, contact Karen Girosky at
