Our school nurses:

  • Actively promote healthy life styles.
  • Provide health care counseling or guidance to students, their family, and to staff.
  • Identify health concerns by observation and assessment of needs and provide appropriate care.
  • Manage your child's medication while at school.
  • Verify immunization according to state guideline requirements.
  • Provide health screenings for vision, hearing, and scoliosis.

Permission for Medication To Be Given at School (pdf)
State law requires complete primary immunizations of our students. District #13 requires these immunizations in 6th grade and 10th grade. State law also mandates immunization against Hepatitis B and Varicella (chicken pox) prior to entry into 7th grade.
Immunization Requirements
Students entering Kindergarten and grades 6 and 10 are required to have a physical exam (along with proof of immunizations).
Health Assessments
Students participating in athletics at Strong School and CRHS must have a complete physical each year.
