Students exploring, innovating and engaging in guided inquiry during Early Release STEAM Camp.Top of Page

RSD13 has offered two after school STEAM Camp sessions for three hours to our students in grades 1-6 during the last two early release days on 10/23 and 12/6. Students were asked to think like engineers and partake in activities and lessons such as designing and constructing paper circuit cards, coding, basketball shot analysis, making pumpkin catapults, painting with milk, chemical engineering slime and designing life-size gingerbread houses with cardboard. All lessons integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math which also tie in Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity.
